Here is some stuff I did in my art direction class this spring. I really liked how my logo for Richmond turned out. Also in this class I used InDesign pretty much for the first time on a magazine cover it turned out ok.

My long overdue sketchbook dump from this spring...

Another skateboard. This one took 7 hours to cut, I really need to find a faster way to do this but other wise I am stoked how it turned out!

Finally laser cut skateboards, this thing took 6 hours to cut but I am pretty happy with it, I just wish there was an easier way to get the laser to cut the same depth on the curves of the board, but then again I kinda like how the design kind of fades out. Anyway I have 5 more blank boards that I want to do so expect to see more soon!

New project from laser class, we had to make patterns. I posted a bunch of detail shots just so you can see how awesomely detailed the machine can cut.

We had to make books for our digital print making class and I did mine on typography. It's kinda therapeutic to layout things with type. I just really enjoy connecting letter forms together and fitting them in very geometric ways.

It's an accordion style book because I wanted the pages to flow into each other.

This is a detail of one of the pages
Final all laid out.

This is my digital drawing piece on Mountain Dew. Whats more extreme than wrangling a whale and drinking Mountain Dew? It was a fun piece to do though, even if it was really late or should I say really early in the morning.
